Buoy Simulation

Objective:
To collaborate at times with the Buoy Power Management Team to simulate solar power density and power usage for the Great Lakes Research Center buoys.
 
Overview:
At this time, calculations are being done to eventually develop a program to contain various electrical properties of the various buoy components. The simulation must be capable of approximating the amount of available solar energy at a given month and time of day, the battery status, as well as, simulating running devices on the buoy and determining the general battery level. Currently, the team is in the process of working through the power usage equations. The simulation must be complete by the end of the year.
